Prelimiary Verification (for April 2023 admission)

Who needs to undergo preliminary verification?

Those who wish to apply under following condition will be subject to a preliminary verification of their educational background prior to having their applications accepted.

The followings are examples of the prospective applicants as mentioned above.

  • Those who have studied in primary or secondary educational institution(s) located in Japan under Japanese education system (even for a short period of time).
  • Those who have studied in primary and secondary educational institutions for less than 12 years, i.e. for example, due to the education system of their country of residence* or due to a change of country of residence, etc. *except for the curriculum recognized as equivalent to upper secondary schools by MEXT*1.
  • Those who have passed an official accreditation exam to prove that they have academic ability equivalent to completion of 12-year educational program which leads to university admission.

*If you have any questions, please contact Admissions Office as early as possible.

When?

Preliminary Verification Period is between June 24 and July 8, 2022.

Which documents must be submitted?

Completed Application Form A and Form D must be sent to Admissions Office by E-mail.

In some cases, applicants may be required to submit additional documents.

When and how will result be notified?

By e-mail at the end of July, 2022.

Important Note:

Application documents from those who have missed the submission of the forms for preliminary verification during the designated period mentioned above cannot be accepted by the Admissions Office during the application period between August 18 and September 9, 2022.
