Nicholas from Malaysia-2020admission

2020 Nicholas Photo.jpgMy 4-year journey in the ICP program has been life-changing, in a positive way.

The program was challenging, which made me more resilient. The courses were tough and in this process, the program has taught me to utilize existing resources, such as asking professors, using library resources, and having discussions with friends. In addition, the course pushed me towards my limit, mastering problem-solving skills and developing a never-say-die attitude to excel in academics, as well as other things in life.

Other than gaining profound understanding about civil engineering, the program offers a lot more than just academic knowledge. I was immersed in an international environment, with students and professors from countries all over the world, elevating my communication and collaboration skills to an international level.

The ICP program also holds annual gatherings, where all students and professors involved in the program gather to have a chat and have a laugh together. Moreover, there are also interactive events, where selected construction and consulting companies from Japan that are affiliated with the university, come to give a talk about their respective companies, to provide job opportunities to students who are interested to work in Japan.

The administrators of the ICP program were very helpful in providing maximum support to international students living in Japan, as well as local Japanese students. Because of that, I was able to enjoy my studies and life in Japan with peace of mind.

Overall, the ICP program is fun and challenging. I've made plenty of friends and memories. I had no regrets choosing the ICP program for my undergraduate studies.
