Financial Aid and Scholarships
Only those who have "College Student" status of residence are eligible to apply for or receive following benefits.
Tuition Exemption
Exemption or deferred payment of the tuition fee may be granted after admission in certain circumstances. In some cases, students who experience financial difficulties may be eligible for a full or half tuition waiver (based on their academic performance).
Scholarships
Japanese Government Scholarship (MEXT scholarship)
Those who wish to become recipients for Japanese Government Scholarship (through "Embassy Recommendation") must contact the Japanese Embassy in your country of residence to get necessary information well in advance. There is an enrollment procedure called "Direct Placement ("chokusetsu-haichi" in Japanese)" for those who wish to enter English taught undergraduate course offered by the universities in Japan. Applicants are required to pass examination (for scholarship) at the embassy as well as the entrance examination of the International Course Program.

Scholarship offered by Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO)
1. Reservation Program for Monbukagakusho Honors Scholarship by EJU
For those who achieve a superior score in the 1st session of "Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) will be eligible to receive Honors Scholarship for Privately Financed International Students after enrolling in a Japanese University. This scholarship can be extended depend on students' academic performance each year. 2. Reservation Program for Monbukagakusho Honors Scholarship by Pre-arrival
This scholarship is available for the 1st year international students (in the English taught course) who enroll in the universities offering "pri-arrival admission" in Japan. Students who have started residing in Japan far in advance of the university admission are not eligible. It is a 12-month scholarship which cannot be extended. Applicants for this scholarship must have an excellent academic standing .

Scholarship for Undergraduate International Course Program
Scholarship fund for the Undergraduate International Course Program has been established by the support of the university, the alumni association of civil engineering related departments and donors including leading companies in Japan for the limited number of students who have superior grades in the course.
Scholarship offered by private foundations, etc.
Various kinds of scholarships are offered by private scholarship foundations every year, and many of them require high command of Japanese as well as outstanding academic result from applicants. Students who wish to apply for this type of scholarship are strongly advised to study Japanese at least up to the level of daily conversation.
