Zhu, Feng from Shanghai, China -April 2012 admission
In these three months of living and studying in Kyoto, I have been truly in love with this city. There are so many incredible things for me to explore, to experience and to learn, and I really enjoy them. I have met many intelligent and kind students from different countries and knowledgeable professors in this program. I have been to some of the most famous places in Kyoto, and they impressed a lot me because they are really the representations of the true beauties of Kyoto.
On June 14, we had our welcome party for International students, which made me feel closer and connected to the university and people here. The words from President Matsumoto are inspiring, and I feel thankful being given this wonderful opportunity to be in this program.
There are lots of benefits I have gained since I have been here, and language is an example; all the materials in classes are taught in English, so that I improve my English skills while I also improve my Japanese skills through my daily social life. I have learned many interesting and useful things in all these courses I'm currently taking, and I become more passionate about my major, Global Engineering, and I'm also very excited and looking forward to the other classes I will take later in this program.
I believe now it is just a beginning, and I will have more challenges to face and more problems to encounter. No matter what will happen, I will always be with all the other students and faculties in this program to enrich our knowledge and skills and to achieve our goals together.
