History of Earth Resources and Energy Engineering

1898	Established as the Department of Mining and Metallurgy Class in the College of Science and Technology.
1942	The Department of Mining and Metallurgy was divided; the Department of Mining was established.
1964	Renamed Undergraduate School of Mineral Science and Technology.
1997	Reorganized into Division of the Earth Resources and Energy Engineering in the Undergraduate Department of Global Engineering.
